In short
SynChat talks only to your own Synology NAS. bdzapps has no server and receives none of your messages, contacts or credentials.
What stays on your device
These stay on your Mac:
- your session token for each server, in the macOS Keychain,
- a local cache of channels, messages, users and thumbnails, so the app opens instantly,
- the list of servers you added and your settings.
Removing a server from SynChat deletes its cache and its session. Deleting the app removes everything.
What goes over the network, and to whom
SynChat connects only to the Synology NAS addresses you enter, to sign in, load your conversations and receive new messages in real time. Your messages and files travel between your Mac and your NAS, and are governed by the settings of that NAS and its administrator.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and sends nothing to bdzapps.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, whatever their age, including children under 13.
