In short
Counter++ works offline by default and bdzapps receives none of your data. The app only connects to the internet if you turn on synchronisation with a server you configure yourself.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in Counter++ stays on your phone, in a local database:
- your counters and their values, names, colours and goals,
- your folders and the order you chose,
- your statistics and settings.
Uninstalling the app deletes this database. A JSON export is a file you save yourself and stays under your control.
What goes over the network, and to whom
Counter++ makes no network request for its core features. It only connects to the internet in these cases:
- Optional synchronisation. If you turn it on, the app sends your counters, folders and settings to the server address you entered, and signs in with the e-mail and password you gave for that server. That server is chosen and run by you or the person who gave you access, not by bdzapps.
- Error reports, only on a configured sync setup. When a synchronisation setup includes mail settings, technical error messages can be e-mailed through the Mailgun service to the developer and to the support address of that setup. This never happens on a default installation.
- Rating prompt. If the app asks you to rate it, the rating window is provided by Google Play.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, whatever their age, including children under 13.
